“Speed of cars“-series
In his series „Speed of cars“ Matthias Mayer aka Mo Magic films radio controled cars, that he had fabricated out of toy trucks, foam and vinyl, in urban surroundings. He films them among the ongoing traffic from a ground perspective and a short distance, that they seem to have the same size than real cars.
The result is, even they are fictional, they get part of an urban reality. For every new video in a different city he fabricats a new remote control car, so that each video becomes unique while the appearance of the car corresponds with the city where it's shooted. The short cut videos are always with fast and groovy music, which gives them a mood and lively expression.
